US Airways was a major US airline company that was founded in the year 1937 as All American Aviation. After 78 years, it ceased its operations in October 2015 after its merger with American Airlines. The airline operated US Airways Shuttle which provided round trip and one way flight deals between Boston, Washington D.C. and New York City.
US Airways was a member of the International Airline Alliance - Star Alliance, before affiliating with Oneworld in March, 2014. It was headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and maintained four hubs at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The maximum dimensions of the baggage must not exceed 45 linear inches (22 x 14 x 9) including wheels and handles.
All the baggage must fit in the overhead bin or beneath the seat in front of you.
Items like jackets, diaper bags, walkers, wheelchairs and duty free items are not counted as carry-on baggage allowance.
Checked Baggage Allowance –
Passengers traveling on US domestic, transpacific and transatlantic routes could carry up to 10 bags maximum and 5 bags if traveling on routes that include Brazil, Mexico, Caribbean, South and Central America. The baggage must adhere to the following requirements –
The maximum dimensions must not exceed 62 inches (length + width + height).
The maximum weight must not exceed 50 pounds.
