The camp today is a historical site housing a museum that serves as an artifact and information center recounting the local history of Bismarck.  Camp Hancock State Historic site still has the original log building that survived as the headquarters of the camp.

The cruise covers the same route on the Missouri River that brought about the discovery of Bismarck by the explorers, Lewis and Clarke.
