The grounds located adjacent to the Brandywine Creek features the first home of the du Pont family along with various powder yards and a 19th century machine store.
Grand Opera House - Simply referred to as the Grand, this opera house was erected in the year 1871 and was originally the site of a Masons lodge. It then went on to host several kinds of recitals including symphonies, operas, burlesque, vaudeville, Victoria melodramas before being transformed into a movie theater operated by Warner Brothers. Today, it hosts several community events and offers a beautiful background for some of the best talents in the city to showcase their craft.
